i met this guy the week of thanksgiving
i gave him my number, but i haven’t really responded to his invitations or anything, but i get messages from him about once a week.  today he sent me a message pertaining to something we must have talked about in the 10 ten minutes we met.  i’m both flattered and a little freaked out.  stalker? anyway, he wants to take me to a show tonight.  should i go?

that follow me!  thank you.  it’s so flattering, especially in light of the types of subjects you guys post about.  i know my little online journal here is a hodgepodge of silly things and serious things and straight stupid things, but i hope you enjoy it a little.  thank you!

why getting older rules.
for so long, because of the way i moved out here, because of the well-intentioned, but stifling love i experienced in my youth, i felt like i was always just barely keeping my head above water, thrashing around, fighting for survival, looking for someone or something to be my lifeboat, when really i clung to buoys that were set adrift for their own purposes.  then i realized it was all an...

we were having so much fun. it was warm for january.  we’d known each other for years.  we walked from a 5 course dinner in the west village, to oysters, crab legs, and half a lobster in nolita, to cheese and lambrusco in the lower east side.  we were doing things backwards.  somewhere between all the food and wine and champagne our fingers intertwined and we walked through the night like...
